About Megan

Welcome! I’m a dedicated mindfulness-based counselor here to guide your child and you on your journey toward holistic well-being. I believe in the transformative power of mindfulness to cultivate awareness, foster resilience, and promote inner peace.
My own journey led me to the profound benefits of mindfulness, both personally and professionally, and I’ve shared these invaluable tools with children and families throughout my career. In addition to my counseling license and degree, I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and Children’s and Hatha Yoga instructor certificates. Working with elementary school-aged children and families for the past 21 years, I am committed to supporting my young clients as they navigate stress, grief, peer relationships, and social skills. Also, through mindful parenting workshops, I work to guide my caregiving clients as they explore emotional self-regulation and mindfulness-oriented skills, while juggling the many challenges of parenting.

My counseling practice is largely humanistic in nature, helping clients to focus on strengths, positive qualities, and self-growth. Theoretical approaches include elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Tapping, and Solution Focused techniques.

If you think my counseling style might be a good fit for your child, or if you are interested in learning more about mindful parenting, please reach out to me for a free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to connecting.
