About Emily

Even if we haven’t met yet, I already believe that you have what it takes to navigate anything, and I’ll do everything I can to help you see that, too. I will help you feel supported, empowered, and competent to make or sustain the changes you desire. I believe that healing comes from having a secure, safe, and trusting relationship with a professional therapist who will work collaboratively with you towards your goals.

I work best with women who are ready, willing, and motivated to tune into themselves to do the work of therapy both in and out of session.  Areas of focus for my practice are:  generalized anxiety and/or stress, depressive feelings or episodes, difficulty navigating change or adjustments, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occuring disorders (example: struggling with alcohol and depression).

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-II).  My treatment philosophy is designed to fit each client individually.  I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapies such as traditional CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which work well for those who have specific goals, issues, phases of life they are working through. I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses eye movements similar to those we experience in REM sleep. This form of therapy helps people process and heal trauma, panic disorder, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, depression, grief, phobias, and more.
